What is Ayurveda?

At the core of Ayurveda is the idea that each individual has their own unique psychobiological makeup. We are composed of a combination of nature’s five elements – air, water, earth, fire, and space. These elements form three vital energies or life forces known as Doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

Understanding the balance of a person’s Doshas helps explain their individual differences and their predisposition to certain health conditions.
